Johana’s Restaurant in New Milford

I went here, and it was amazing! I got the waffle with whipped cream and fruit (forgot what it was called) but I enjoyed eating the food here. The place was tiny and cute. One issue is the woman's bathroom is kinda on a weird angle, but it is okay otherwise. I love this restaurant!!

We we're visiting from Baltimore and stopped in on our way home for breakfast. Amazing food, and everyone was friendly. If it wasn't 5 hours away from me I'd have breakfast there all the time lol

I eat at Johannes restaurant at least two to three times a week. Chris is a wonderful waitress. Always on top of things. The food is all made by hand. They have wonderful fresh-made bread and soups of the day. I highly recommend this great little diner. I've ordered just about everything on the menu and have enjoyed it all. They close at 2 p.m.

Great humble place in a sleepy town. They have all the breakfasty/brunchy items you need for you brunch fixation. They run out of space quickly, so make sure you get there to get served really fast.

The food is delicious. I follow AIP diet and eat eggs or cheese maybe once every other month. So it's a special occasion when I do. Ordered the spinach, mushroom and feta cheese omelette and it was EXCELLENT. My friend special ordered a toasted English muffin, no butter, poached eggs and one strip of bacon. They didn't have any issue doing this for her. Service is great. Our waitress was on time, helpful and friendly. HIGHLY recommend Johana's Restaurant!

homemade breads, sausage, soups. i frequent on weekends. reasonable prices. my only dislike is an early close...but someone has to make the fresh items. i dont like their hollandaise sauce. it had mustard. 4 1/2 STARS.

I never knew of this great place till one morning I was looking for coffee desperately before going into school and one of my classmates tells me that Johana’s Resturant might just have some and I went in and since that day when I want to have breakfast I drive half an hour to get there because the quality of the food is just like home, I’m a Chef and when I tell you us Chefs can be picky it’s true and I have not found one negative thing about this cute little restaurant and how they treat everyone that walks in the doors no matter how busy they can get they make sure your comfortable and satisfied 😊

It was the tiniest, vintage place, faded decor with fantastic food. They expanded into the storefront next door and worked some magic, as it still has the slightly frumpy old charm, but is spiffed up a bit with art gallery walls.But a diner experience only goes so far on quaint. This is a true hidden gem for the food. The quality of the ingredients is very high, and the cook of them is perfection. As a home cook, it’s clear true care is taken. It’s also been that rare treat where other diners turn to talk to each other, reminiscing about the area. The menu has all the basics you’d expect, with some modern updates. I’ve visited after going to New Milford Hospital nearby, and the all day breakfast dishes are the best comfort food. Prices are fair. Order too much and take some home. This is the place to get the fries or onion rings, perfectly made from scratch, with your healthy salad. Or anything you want—it’s all good. What an absolute gem.

Charming and cozy location with friendly service. Always a delicious dining decision. Add a walk around the beautiful New Milford Green afterwards, poke into a few shops- makes for a great relaxed afternoon destination!

When I worked down the street I would call to order a breakfast sandwich to pick up. Super nice staff, food always consistent and perfecly as ordered. Very popular with locals, always seems busy and full with "regulars," they recently had the opportunity and doubled their size into the newly available place next door. Great local place.
